Biography of presenter:

I have worked in and for a range of business sectors from health practices to charitable organisations and food production, leisure and tourism to telecommunications and finance. I am co-founder of Therapy Jersey, a Psychotherapy partnership.
My focus has developed to include Psychotherapy, (training with the European Centre for Psychotherapeutic Studies), lecturing and professional training. Within these my experience incorporates three years of clinical Psychotherapy practice; the management of marketing and sales teams, lecturing on subjects as diverse as the Psychology of Physical Activity, Child Development, Marketing and Public Relations, Financial Services, and using Social Media platforms for business.
I have led seminars and master classes in brand development and auditing with business consultancy, developing marketing strategies that incorporate all forms of online and offline activity. I am a Chartered Marketer, committee member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Jersey Branch, Member of the British Psychological Society and Student Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

The workshop will redefine the purpose of LinkedIn or introduce this powerful online tool to Psychotherapists. We will delve into LinkedIn and show not only how it can work to support you professionally but crucially to explain why it is worth making use of it. With examples and discussion we will explore how to use it as a marketing tool for you and for the practice and to promote what you do to a wider audience of professionals. Using examples we will review the face of bad LinkedIn, and concurrently, how to avoid the pitfalls of use. The session includes details of how to set up, polish and benefit from a strong LinkedIn presence whilst also explaining how the platform can support PR for individuals, larger practices and government bodies.
